Chrissy Teigen has defended her husband John Legend after he received criticism for the way he was holding their daughter in a baby wrap.

On Saturday (8 April), Teigen took to Instagram to share some holiday snaps of the family out and about in Italy.

The pair could be seen walking around the streets of Venice with their three kids, Luna, Miles and newborn Esti, briefly stopping to take a family pic on a bridge overlooking the canals.

And it appears that the city had some fond memories for the couple, who visited Venice back in 2007 before becoming parents.

Teigen wrote in the post's caption: "Venezia! John and I first came here in 2007 when we were just a couple of crazy child-free kids!

"It’s was the dead of winter, absolutely freezing cold and john fondly remembers my single faux urban outfitters fur hat that adorned me every day and night."

She continued: "We took the water bus everywhere and ran through the alleys, making out like a couple of doofuses in lurve who never would have thought we’d be back with babies of our own! well john probably knew."

However, the post was met with a bit of criticism after some followers pointed out one picture in particular.

The picture in question sees Legend cradling Etsi in a baby wrap, with one person claiming the singer was not supporting the two-month-old baby correctly.

In a now deleted comment, they said: "Can u please give them some advice," while tagging someone who could potentially explain to the couple 'how to wear the carrier right'.

While someone else also said that Legend was 'wearing Esti so low'.

And Teigen was quick to defend her husband in the comments.

Replying to the now-deleted comment, she explained that Etsi was 'comfortable' in the baby wrap, adding that her newborn daughter was 'safe and happy'.

The model went on to explain further that her little one does not like to be strapped in 'high and tight' in the wrap and prefers to 'look around and see daddy'.

Despite that negative comment, there were a lot of fans who flocked to the comment section to praise the couple.

“Momma and daddy know best what THEIR kids like," one user wrote.

Meanwhile, a second added: "Could y’all look any more perfect."

Teigen and Legend welcome Etsi in January, with the 'All of Me' singer sharing the exciting news with fans during a private concert on 13 January.
