Chrissy Teigen has become a huge advocate for women how don’t want to cover when the breastfeeding.

Teigen’s began discussing breastfeeding back in 2016, shortly after her daughter Luna was born.

Trying to juggle work and home, the Lip Sync Battle star decide to post about the realities of motherhood and shared a short clip of herself breastfeeding on Snapchat, as she prepared for an event.

The proud mum pointedly wrote ‘Chrissy wears many hats’ acknowledging how new mums are often criticised for working – especially in US which has no paid maternity leave laws.

Whilst many thanked her for the post, the TV personality also received backlash for the post because she wasn’t covered up.

It sparked a need to advocate for herself and other women, which has continued as her family has grown over the years.

Not long after her son Miles was born in 2018, she shared another image of her feeding him as the family spent the day together.

Yet again, the adorable Instagram post was met with immediate criticism, even though it was well received on the platform with over three million likes.

One user even claimed that Teigen liked to ‘stir the post’ and angrily wrote: “…we know what breasts are for.”

However, Teigen soon clapped back at her trolls, telling them on Twitter: "I don't care to see grainy fireworks, coachella selfies or infinity pool pics but I let people live."

Others thanked the model for her authenticity, with many saying she’d helped to ‘normalise’ breastfeeding.

As the hashtag #normalizebreastfeeding began to trend on social media, one user wrote: “Good for you. Thanks for helping to take the stigma out of something that should have never been an issue anyway.”

The moment sparked a major online debate, which Chrissy has continued to be a part of.

Sharing a snap of her uncovered as she breastfeeding bedside son Miles and pumping milk as she appears whilst on a call with her husband, musician John Legend, the model refused to shy away as she showed a realistic version of family life on Instagram.

Though internet trolls have still attacked Teigen, most of her followers have welcomed the authentic post, with one stating that the world ‘needs more breastfeeding content’.

We couldn’t agree more – keep up the good work, Chrissy.
