People Are Using Spoons To Apply Eyeshadow And It's Actually Genius

People Are Using Spoons To Apply Eyeshadow And It's Actually Genius

We might actually try this.

Just when you think you've seen every possible makeup hack, TikTok surprises us all once again by unveiling a brand new trick.

Beauty account @kaylambeauty tried the viral hack originally posted by @dhullyzanela in which a simple, everyday kitchen spoon is used to apply eyeshadow on top of the upper eyelid crease.

Watch the video below:

Kayla Marie covers her eye with the rounded end of the spoon and uses an eyeshadow brush to apply the first colour just below her brow bone.

“I feel like I’m at the eye doctor,” she quips.

She is pleasantly surprised by the result after removing the spoon.

After that step, she uses the handle as a stencil for a sharp line along the bottom of her eye. Once both eyes are complete, Kayla does the remainder of her orange-themed makeup look off camera.

She adds: "I love this! I'm doing my makeup with a spoon for the rest of my life."

Judging by the comments left by viewers, the kitchen spoon could become the next great makeup applicator.

One commenter wrote: “Omg this was literally so freaking beautiful!!”

Next question: tablespoon, teaspoon or dessert spoon?

In other news, TikTok's newest beauty guru is a nun who has revealed just how she keeps her skin looking so fresh after being inundated with skin regime requests.

Watch the video below:

Episcopal nun Claudette Powell, who regularly posts on TikTok under the username @nunsenseforthepeople, was hoping to educate users on the video sharing platform about life as a member of a devout religious community.

Viewers were shocked after Claudette said she forgoes all beauty products because of her sensitive skin and allergies.

"I've never beauty products as I think they're a rip-off and I'm really cheap. My skin is allergic to pretty much everything on earth, so I wash my face once a day. I have to use that Aveeno oatmeal body wash and shampoo you get at the baby department in the groceries store for around six bucks," she said.
