Uncoupled fans can't decide who is Kai's dad and it's driving them nuts

Fans have already binged the Netflix rom-com and they want answers.

Fans of the hit Netflix rom-com Uncoupled have been left scratching their heads after trying to work out who is Kai's dad.

Now, they've taken to Twitter to share their speculation about the subject, and let's just say that absolutely no one agrees. Watch the trailer for Uncoupled below:

In case you're unfamiliar with the show, its official synopsis reads: "Stunned when his longtime boyfriend moves out, a New York City real estate broker faces the prospect of starting over - and dating again - in his 40s."

The show stars Patrick Harris [Michael Lawson], Tisha Campbell [Suzanne Prentiss], Brooks Ashmanskas [Stanley James], Emerson Brooks [Billy Burns], Marcia Gay Harden [Claire Lewis] and Tuc Watkins [Colin McKenna].

One fan wrote: "The ending of uncoupled was so unfulfilling like b*tch SHOW ME WHO THE DAD IS [sic]."

"I just watched uncoupled and i bet kai's dad is that Italian dude," speculated a second while a third agreed: "Okay here me out. Kai"s dad is . . . . Paolo - italianbibusinessman on Grindr [sic]."

"Y'all, Kai's father is NOT Claire's ex. That would be way too nasty, even for a Darren Star show," declared a fourth viewer.

A fifth couldn't help but make this hilarious Mamma Mia! joke.

Meanwhile, some fans called for a second season the show so that they could finally get their answer.

ELLE reports that while the first season, which dropped at the end of July, has proven popular so far, a second season of Uncoupled hasn't yet been confirmed.

A lot of people have already binged the first season of Uncoupled.

The news outlet also revealed that it's not just fans who are confused about who Kai's dad is, so too is Trisha Campbell - and she's the one playing Suzanne.

"I want to know badly!” she told TVLine.

"All I know is that he's from Europe. I don't know which country. I know he's going to be fine, whoever he is... [series creator] Darren Star is filming Emily in Paris in Paris right now. I threatened to come visit him and see if I could pick his brain."

TVLine went on to ask Star over Zoom and he said: "We have strong ideas about that storyline. We almost gave it away in Season 1, then decided not to."

If the show gets renewed for a second season, what would you like to see?
