The Teacher Fans Want Justice For Jack After Latest Twist

Nobody saw that coming.

The Teacher viewers are absolutely shocked after a major twist in the latest episode of the Channel 5 drama, and can barely contain themselves ahead of Thursday's finale.

Since the series launched this week, fans have been developing theories, and it turns out they were all wrong!

Check out the trailer for The Teacher here:

The Teacher follows teacher Jenna Garvey (Sheridan Smith) who has been accused of having an inappropriate relationship with her 15-year-old student Kyle (Samuel Bottomley).

Struggling to remember much from the night she met Kyle in a nightclub, Jenna is on a mission to clear her name, and figure out who filed a report against her in the first place.

After episode one, viewers were convinced that Jenna's colleague Nina was behind the allegation, considering their ongoing rivalry and Nina's obvious issues with Jenna's attitude in school.

Soon, though, fans were instead pointing fingers at another one of Jenna's colleagues, Jack, suggesting that he had been engaging in his own relationship with Kyle, and tried to place the blame on Jenna.

It turns out that both of Jenna's colleagues are in the clear, though, and fans had to pick their jaws up off the floor when they realised who might be behind the allegations.

Things came to a standstill when Jenna pleaded guilty to the allegations, even though she was certain that nothing had happened between her and Kyle.

But between Kyle insisting that they had had sex, and Jenna being blackout drunk on the night in question, she wasn't exactly left with much choice.

Fans raised an eyebrow when Kyle later said that Jenna was never supposed to plead guilty.

We were even more shocked when we realised that Jenna's friend Pauline might be more involved than we first thought.

Pauline has been by Jenna's side throughout the drama, but it looks like Pauline could be helping out the real culprit - her husband.

Jack might have some secrets of his own, but he isn't to blame for this scandal. (

After realising that Pauline's husband might be the one behind the scandal, fans are taking back what they said about Jack.

"Didn't see that twist coming at all. Thought it would be Jack behind it all #TheTeacher" tweeted one viewer.

Another simply wrote: "Sorry Jack xx #TheTeacher."

Even though he might not be plotting Jenna's downfall, other viewers are still wary of Jack, after it was revealed that he was the one who hooked up with Jenna in the club bathroom.

One viewer commented: "#TheTeacher really don’t like how they’ve brushed aside the fact that Jack sexually assaulted Jenna. They did ‘everything but sex’ when she was blackout drunk and he was sober."

"Jack is the one who might need the sex register #theteacher" tweeted another.

The Teacher concludes on Thursday night at 9pm on Channel 5.
