Fashion intel is not what you would normally expect to see early in the morning on Good Morning Britain. However, co-host Susanna Reid had to explain her outfit choice during Thursday's episode as her pink wrap dress left people at home convinced she was wearing a dressing gown.

After viewers took to social media to decide whether Susanna’s dress was in fact a dress or a dressing gown, the presenter explained she bought the outfit online.
She then admitted to co-host Ben Shephard that she was aware her pink garment was the source of a lot of confusion online as well as in the studio.

“I just want to point out that I did get dressed this morning,” she clarified. “I didn’t come in in my dressing gown.”
Ben responded: “There is a little something Margot from The Good Life. I like it as a look.”
Susanna said: “It wasn’t in the dressing gown section but then I did buy it online, so maybe I did accidentally!”
Twitter on the other hand was more divided.
One person tweeted: "Susana Reid wearing a dressing gown?!? It’s a lovely outfit don’t get me wrong. But it screams dressing gown!"

While a second viewer theorised: "oh, someone came in their silk dressing gown this morning."
And a third Twitter account said: "Good morning. Have just switched on bit confused is Susanna in her dressing gown."
Later in the show, Susanna added accessories to make the garment look less like bedtime wear.
She said: “I’ve over accessorised with bracelets, with rings, with a necklace, in order to show it’s a dress, but now I look like I’ve tried too hard with the dressing gown.”
Is Susanna's garment a dress or do you believe she accidentally wore a silky dressing gown to work?
