Sex Education Fans Have Devastating Theory About New Series

Say it isn't so!

Sex Education is undoubtedly one of the biggest shows on Netflix and fans across the world have fallen in love with the cast.

However, recent events have completely thrown a spanner into the works and one dedicated viewer shared her devastating theory on TikTok.

Watch the video below:

Sex Education fans are preparing for the possible departures of two main cast members after they were cast in separate high profile projects.

Hours before the 2022 BAFTAs on Sunday, the BBC finally confirmed the identity of the new Doctor Who star; Ncuti Gatwa, who plays Eric in the Netflix comedy, will take over from Jodie Whittaker later this year.

Meanwhile, Emma Mackey has a yet-to-be-named role in the upcoming live action Barbie film starring Margot Robbie.

Emma is also playing the lead role in the Emily Brontë biopic Emily which has already wrapped filming.

A fourth season was announced in September last year, days after the third season dropped. Netflix has not confirmed which cast members we can expect to return however, Bridgerton star Simone Ashley has already confirmed she won't be back as Olivia Hanan.

The prospect of two more cast members potentially leaving has been quite a blow for viewers as they eagerly await new episodes.

In response to the TikTok, one person said: "I feel like this was gonna be the last season anyway how much more education can they give".

One concerned fan wrote: “Literally just Otis and Adam in a room for a whole season.”

Another viewer suggested a time jump, writing: “They should do a time skip in college where Otis is all by himself because Eric went to fashion school in London or NYC.”

Lots of commenters felt conflicted by the news, with one TikTok user sharing: “It’s so sad they may not be in the next season but it makes me happy that they’re seeing so much success with other things!!! They’re all so talented.”

A TikTok account wrote: “Honestly i don't see how they could even make a season four, season three ended perfectly”.

Someone else shared: "As long as we have Gillian Anderson".

Fingers crossed both actors return for the new season!
