Fans spotted a heart-warming hidden tribute in the season finale of And Just Like That.

Rock (played by Alexa Swinton) wore a bright pink suit in memory of Willie Garson, who sadly passed away unexpectedly from pancreatic cancer in September, aged 57.

Garson returned as Stanford Blatch from the original Sex And The City cast but only appeared in three episodes due to his sudden death while the series was still being filmed.

Rock wore the suit in a heart-warming Bar Mitzvah scene in the shows final episode.

The costume Instagram page for the show posted a photo of Rock in the suit on Wednesday and captioned it: “@alexaswinton as Rock wearing a @willie.garson suit in memory of Stanny #missyou 💖🛎🍸🍸 #notagoodhider @justlikethatmax #henevergottowear”

Fans flooded the comments with love and praised the show for its amazing tribute to the actor. One wrote: “What?! Ok that’s an amazing tribute💗💗💗”

Another said: “Looks like Stanny 💖 Just doesn’t seem real to me yet that Willie Garson is not with us 💔”

A third wrote: “How incredibly sweet – and now that I know, I do remember him wearing it. How can you forget that brilliant colour💜.”

The costume page replied to the third comment and said: “He never got to wear it …was in his closet waiting for a scene❤️”

The bright suit was a beautiful and touching way to pay tribute to the much-loved actor.

Show creator Michael Patrick King previously explained to Vanity Fair that he had no idea that Willie was struggling in his battle against cancer when he filmed scenes for the show.

And original plans for the series included Stamford in every single episode.

The showrunner said: “When we started [filming], Willie was in all 10 episodes. We wrote the most hilarious comic, tragic arc for Stanford.

“I didn’t know he was so sick, and I was on set one night saying, ‘And then this happens to Stanford and then this happens and then this happens and this happens.’ And he’s just looking at me.

“Then he took a turn for the worst. I really thought we could get through the season.”

The season finale of And Just Like That is available to watch now on Sky and Now TV.
