A new TV series from the creators of Sex And The City and Emily In Paris is set to drop on Netflix later this month and, basically, what we're saying is, we'll have a new show to binge-watch soon.

Uncoupled will star Neil Patrick Harris (How I Met Your Mother) as Michael Lawson, a well-to-do real estate agent who has everything going for him, until his partner of 17 years packs his things and leaves.

Check out the trailer here:

The series, which also stars Tisha Campbell, Brooks Ashmanskas, Emerson Brooks, and Marcia Gay Harden, will explore the journey from heartbreak to healing, and the humour we find along the way.

An official description of the forthcoming series from Netflix reads: "Michael Lawson (Neil Patrick Harris) seems to have it all figured out. He’s a successful New York City real estate agent with a great career, a supportive family, close friends, and a loving relationship with his partner of 17 years, Colin (Tuc Watkins).

"But when Colin unexpectedly moves out on the eve of his 50th birthday, Michael is completely blindsided. Overnight, he has to confront two nightmares: losing the man he thought was his soulmate, and suddenly finding himself a single gay man in his mid-forties in New York City."

Neil Patrick Harris will star in the series.

Helping him to figure it all out, Michael will have to rely on his fabulous best friend Suzanne (Tisha Campbell), and well-to-do client Claire (Marcia Gay Harden) to figure out the modern dating world, from d**k pics to dating apps.

The rom-com series comes from the mind of Modern Family creator Jeffrey Richman, and Emily In Paris and Sex And The City creator Darren Star, so you can already bet it's going to be good.

The Emmy winning writers released a joint statement ahead of the release, announcing: "We are so excited to share our series Uncoupled.

"It is a passion project for both of us, one that has given us the opportunity to write a bittersweet romantic comedy from the perspective of a gay man.

The series comes from the minds behind Sex and the City, Emily in Paris, and Modern Family.

The two creators, who are both gay themselves, continued: "And while the world is specific, we believe the themes of love, loss, and reinvention will be relatable to everyone.

"We are especially proud of our fine cast, led by the incomparable Neil Patrick Harris, who gives a performance that is both hilarious and heartbreaking."

We can't wait to sink our teeth into this one!

Uncoupled arrives to Netflix in the UK and Ireland on 29 July.
