Netflix has just revealed its hit show Ginny & Georgia will be renewed for a third and fourth season.

The comedy-drama first hit our screens a couple years ago with season one dropping back in 2021 and the second season being released earlier this year (5 January).

Since then, Ginny & Georgia has garnered a pretty loyal fanbase after achieving the number one spot on the Netflix's Top 10 English TV List with 180.47 million hours viewed following its debut.

The Netflix show went on to become the most-watched title on the platform for the week of January 2-8 so it's no wonder that fans are thrilled to hear their next Ginny & Georgia fix is on the way.

The streaming platform announced season three and four are in the cards yesterday (17 May).

In case you've yet to catch the series, it follows the likes of free-spirited Georgia (Brianne Howey) and her two kids, Ginny (Antonia Gentry) and Austin (Diesel La Torraca) who move north in search of a fresh start but find that the road to new beginnings can be bumpy.

"It feels surreal still," SAG Award ambassador Gentry told Tudum when season two premiered in January.

"The show’s success has meant so much to me. More so, just because it’s touched so many people globally."

With the third and fourth season are on the horizon, fans will be happy to know that show creator Sarah Lampert previously told Tudum that she has got the story 'all planned out'.

The show's creator already has the story 'all planned out'.

The season two finale ended with Georgia getting arrested at her own wedding and will go on to directly set the stage for the following season.

Unfortunately, Netflix have not shared a release date as of yet but fans can hang onto the fact that they know it is coming.

"When we had to develop the storyline for season two, we knew exactly what we wanted season to be," Lampert revealed before the launch of the second season.

"Georgia needed to kill someone and she needed to kill someone in Wellsbury, Massachusetts."

The creator also added that the third season will throw 'new hurdles, new relationships and new challenges' at Ginny and Georgia 'in a way we haven’t seen before on the show'.

Fans couldn't wait to share their reactions to the news with one Twitter user writing: "Let’s goooooooo! Couldn’t end it on that cliffhanger."

That's for sure.

"F*** yeah let’s goooooooo," echoed another.

A final Twitter user added: "Ok I’m going to go cry now. Bc we gotta wait on next season."
