Netflix Drops Trailer For New Dating Reality Show For Siblings

Netflix Drops Trailer For New Dating Reality Show For Siblings

This is either genius or the most awkward dating show in history.

The trailer for a bizarre new dating show that sees singles look for love in a luxury villa alongside their siblings has just been dropped by Netflix.

Aptly titled Dated & Related, the show operates on the premise that the singles might have a higher chance of finding love with their sibling looking out for them. Watch below:

The show's synopsis reads: "Is this about to be the most awkward dating show in history?

"Dated & Related is a brand-new reality series featuring pairs of siblings searching for 'the one' together. Will they be each other's ultimate wingman, or scuttle their siblings' plans completely? Either way, it's going to be Awkward. As. Hell."

Needless to say, the trailer for the new show did not go unnoticed by reality TV fans when it was posted to social media.

One Twitter user wrote in reference to the title: "I thought this meant they were dating relatives… I was very concerned."

"What the actual f**k is this," wrote a second while a third added: "Thank GOD this isn't what I THOUGHT it was going to be."

A fourth joked with a meme: "Me thinking it is a cousin dating show after seeing the title."

The cast has been revealed as a host of siblings from twins to overly protective big brothers.

Two of the female contestants, Mandy and Lily, said they are 'always meddling in each other's relationships' but despite this, they are 'fiercely close and protective of each other'.

However, while this show might follow a similar format to Love Island (minus the addition of siblings), it will not last anywhere near as long.

Dated & Related will consist of 10 45 minute episodes, so it's definitely bingeable like Netflix's other recent dating show offerings such as Ultimatum.

If you're a fan of reality TV, the show's host might be familiar to you, as it is Too Hot to Handle star Melinda Berry, 29, who made a name for herself on the second season of the abstinence-based dating show.

It looks very awkward for some.

She is set to oversee the goings-on as the siblings attempt to date in front of each other.

Judging by the trailer, Melinda is going to have her work cut out for her as some seem very overprotective.

If Dated & Related sounds like the dating show you didn't know you needed, it will be available to stream from September 2.
