Shocking new naked dating show will let viewers see way more than they bargained for

A jaw-dropping reality series described as ‘Love Island without the bikinis’ has finally debuted, but viewers are seriously divided.

If you’re already a fan of wild dating shows such as Married At First Sight, Naked Attraction and Love Is Blind then you’ll be pleased to know there’s a brand-new offering to sink your teeth into.

Helmed by former X Factor star Rylan Clark, the project sees a handful of singletons jetting off to a remote island to find love.

The catch? They must forge relationships and live amongst one another completely nude.

Dating Naked - which landed on MTV and Paramount+ today (23 August) - follows ten love-starved singles who are turning all their efforts into hunting down ‘the One’.

During their time on the show, competitors must rise to complete challenges while totally stark naked, go on dates with potential flames and do anything to avoid being eliminated from the tropical paradise.

To make the contest even more fierce, producers have put up a £50,000 prize pot for the winning couple to claim at the end of the first season.

Be warned though, Dating Naked ‘contains full nudity without any blurring or pixelation' - a creative decision Rylan, 35, assumes there will be backlash over.

“I know there’ll be a lot of people out there going, “Oh, are you joking? They’re all naked? Like a naked Love Island?” he said in an interview with Metro.

“[But] there’s a real great reason and a thread that runs throughout the whole series.

“Them being naked is 99 percent of the reason [behind] what ends up happening throughout the season.”

He argued that contestants operating in their birthday suits made everything a ‘little more vulnerable’ and eliminated any lust.

“It eliminates that ‘I want to rip your clothes off and get into bed’ because, well, here it all is,’ Rylan added.

Following Dating Naked’s streaming debut, fans have been flocking to social media to have their say.

“Emily is an icon,” gushed one fan. “The windmilling in the bedroom, iconic. Dan, tremendous. Can’t wait to watch the rest of it.”

Someone else said: “I watched a previous show also called Dating Naked a long time ago and it was really good. I'm guessing it's the same producers etc. And obviously they blurred body parts lol. Looking forward to watching this series especially with [Rylan] hosting it.”

However, it appears the reality series has divided viewers, with one writing: “I am not a prude, but it's just more c**p TV. You are better than this Rylan.”

Dating Naked UK comprises of ten episodes, with the first two episodes being available to stream on Parmount+ and MTV now. New episodes will drop every Friday going forward.
