The film begins on Christmas Eve when Georgia Olsen (Moretz) discovers she’s pregnant with her boyfriend Sam Hoth’s (Smith) child. She’s not ready to become a mum and she’s unsure about her relationship.

At a Christmas party Georgia attends, people notice loud screeching noise and soon after, an android serving the attendees becomes violent.

The film is set in the near future when androids are used as everyday servants for humans.

Now, the androids are rebelling, which leads to a war as artificial intelligence seeks control.

After seeking refuge in a forest, the couple hatch a plan to travel to Boston where they have heard rumours about a boat transporting new mums to Asia.

But to get to Boston, they must cross a no-man's land filled with androids seeking revenge.

Georgia and Sam must go on the run and try to escape the country, while coming to terms with the arrival of their first child before it’s too late.
