Love Island's Adam responds to Jacques' savage comment about his relationship with Paige

One of the most talked-about islanders on this year's season of Love Island was returning bombshell Adam Collard.

The personal trainer, 26, first appeared on the show in 2018 and caused chaos by coupling up with multiple women, but this time, he largely only got to know Paige. Watch Jacques' savage comments about their relationship:

At the time of Adam's arrival as the ultimate bombshell, Paige Thorne was coupled up with Jacques O'Neill who decided to leave the villa shortly after.

Paige then decided to get to know Adam with the time she had left, and the pair seemingly went from strength to strength.

However, before leaving the villa, Jacques had said that he'd pick Paige up from the airport when the show ended.

So, naturally, viewers were curious about what he thought of Paige and Adam's relationship.

One asked him that question in a recent Instagram Live with Luca Bish, which also saw Jacques controversially mock Remi's rapping skills.

"What do you think of Adam and Paige’s relationship?" asked one viewer.

Jacques sarcastically replied: "They seem to get on really well, they seem very happy together."

Luca replied: "Glad the mum approves," and this prompted Jacques to add: "Yeah, well her mum seems really fond of Adam so you know."

This was a reference to Paige's mum not being convinced by Adam's seemingly reformed behaviour at this year's meet the parents event.

She said: "I'm not buying it. The way you were with Jacques was different, with Adam it just seems a lot different."

Now, Adam himself has responded to Jacques' remarks, retweeting a clip of his comment with the caption: "Humble in defeat our kid, chin up x."

This sent fans of the dating show wild as Adam did, after all, go on to place fifth in the show with Paige.

One wrote: "this is probably the messiest post island drama.. the producers could've waited a good few weeks for the reunion to happen but instead gave us masterchef and a one direction commercial dfkm [sic]."

"Pathetic little boys, Paige picked the right guy," wrote a second fan while a third added: "Jacques needs to stop talking, you tell him Adam."

"Lmaoooo drag him king," added a fourth.

A fifth wrote: "jacques' mental health pr stunt couldn't even last a week after the show ended, i smile [sic]."

Adam's clap back comes after Jacques was also slammed for not only what he said about Remi in the Live, but also for another video where he appeared to mock Tasha.
