Love Island Fans Think Luca Looks Like Gemma's Dad In Throwback Pic

The photo is taken from Michael's time playing for Liverpool F.C, in the late 90s and early noughties.

And other fans agree there is certainly a resemblance between the two, with one person writing: "Oh wow.. they look very similar." Meanwhile another commented: "It’s almost uncanny."

And a third added: "Oh sh*t, I now can’t unsee this."

"Genuinely thought that was a picture of Luca… yikes," added a fourth.

Another commented: "WAIT YOU’RE SO RIGHT OMGGGGG."

Michael recently spoke about his daughter heading into the Love Island villa.

“She’s the most amazing girl you could meet. She’s clever and funny and kind. She’s not two-faced. She’s loyal, a decent person. She’s still our baby. I’m still my parents’ baby and I’m 42! It’s how it is."

Michael also admitted he wouldn't like to 'see kissing' on the show, adding: "It's not something any father wants to watch, is it? I said to [my wife] Louise, 'do they really have to sleep together, like in the same bed?' She said 'yes'. I said 'I did not bank on this'.

"... If there is physical contact I think I’ll be throwing something at the screen. I don’t want to see kissing. Do not make me see kissing!"

Michael added: “... You have to let them go, spread their wings. She’s a sensible girl. She won’t do anything that’ll make us ashamed.”

While Gemma has been getting to know Luca in the villa, the couple appear to have hit a rocky patch in Tuesday (14 June) evening's episode, after Gemma accidentally calls Luca by her ex, Jacques' name.

Yikes.

The incident will be shown in Tuesday's ep and takes place after the Islanders said goodbye to Afia, who was the first person to be dumped from the island.

While embracing Luca in the kitchen, Gemma accidentally called him Jacques. 

As if that wasn’t already awkward enough, she had an added audience of the other Islanders, including Jacques himself who was sitting nearby.
