Love Island's Liam Reacts As He Finds Out About Gemma's Dad For The First Time

Love Island's Liam Llewellyn has revealed he had no idea about Gemma Owen's famous dad when he was in the villa.
Liam, 22, left the villa last week after gathering the islanders around the fire pit to tell them he had decided to end his journey on the show.

Speaking after exiting the villa, Liam told followers: “Just finished my bit on Aftersun so I thought it would be a mint time to jump online to say how appreciative I am for all the love and support from before I even entered the villa, during the villa and obviously everything post villa backing the decision I made.
“I was in there 10 percent and I wasn’t comfortable being in there at 10 percent.
“If I couldn’t bring 100, I didn’t want to be there, so yeah, made the right decision and people are backing it all the way and yeah I respect it also. Thank you all.”
Since leaving, Liam has revealed he had no idea that Gemma's dad is actually footballer Michael Owen.
Speaking on spin-off show Aftersun, Liam was gobsmacked when host Laura Whitmore revealed the news.
"I can’t believe who that actually was. That’s mad,” said Liam.
“I’m a United fan. I actually have one of his tops when he came to the club. That first night, we were chatting about football and her family. I was so close. I can’t believe I didn’t quite work it out."
Fans thought Gemma might reveal her famous dad during a conversation with Luca Bish, who she is currently coupled up with.
“You, because you're into football, you're into racing...I think my dad would...I feel like you'd have stuff in common," she told him.
"He was quite close with my first boyfriend and I think he sort of appreciates a guy who is into sport and all of that kind of thing.
“I've heard you talk about football and racing and I'm just like hmmm."
Gemma's ex boyfriend, Jacques O’Neill has recently entered the villa, shocking Gemma who revealed she hadn't seen him since they broke up.
Since arriving, Jacques has been getting to know Ekin-Su Culculoglu as well as Paige Thorne. However, in a first-look clip of Monday's episode, Jacques is also spotted getting to know Tasha Ghouri.
