Love Island's Jacques Knew Cheyanne Before Getting Close In Casa Amor

Love Island's Jacques Knew Cheyanne Before Getting Close In Casa Amor

This has blown our minds.

Love Island's Jacques O'Neill has revealed he already knew Cheyanne Kerr prior to spending time with her on the show.

Jacques, 23, had been getting to know Cheyanne, 23, in Casa Amor despite having a connection with Paige Thorne in the main villa.

Now, Jacques - who left the show last week - has revealed that he actually already knew Cheyanne from when he was younger.

"Cheyanne is a lovely girl, I already knew her from when I was 19, It was weird because I wanted to date her at the time," Jacques told The Sun on Sunday.

While it was total coincidence that the pair were reunited on the show, Jacques decided not to recouple with Cheyanne and instead stuck with Paige.

"I found out while I was chatting to her that nothing was going to come close to what I had with Paige. But from the moment I kissed her in bed I felt the worst I’ve ever felt in my life," he said.

But things didn't go to plan, after Paige discovered what Jacques had been up to in the villa while she was away at Casa Amor.

"I watched the Casa Amor episodes to torture myself and look at my actions," Jacques continued.

"I was disgusted in myself, I understand the hate. I’m feeling quite numb, I will wait for Paige on the outside, but I‘m not watching the show again, I can’t do it.”

In Sunday (17 July) evening's episode of Love Island, Paige could be seen sharing her first kiss with newcomer Adam Collard, who also appeared in the 2018 series.

Adam arrived on the show just a couple of days before Jacques decided to leave.

Jacques has since described his decision to go on the show as the 'worst of his life'.

“Doing Love Island was the worst decision of my life. I was ready to break down," he said. “I was feeling so mentally drained, I just wanted to go home and get myself right. It broke me and I was already broken. I was crying my eyes out. I couldn’t cope.

“I was literally feeling awful. It was the worst I’d ever felt in my life.

“... At home you can remove yourself from situations, but in there you had to deal with every situation, and in that moment I took my microphone off, and walked straight through the front doors because I just wanted to get out of that place."

Love Island continues at 9pm on ITV2.
