If you’ve been watching the new season of Love Is Blind, you’ve probably got the same question we have: namely, what is with all the balloon animals this series?

Eagle-eyed Netflix fans have spotted the seemingly random inflatable animals in scenes featuring Danielle and Nick, and have been left scratching their heads about what they may mean.

Taking to Twitter, one fan asked: “Who is watching love is blind and can explain why there are occasional balloon animals snuck on the set?”

“Okay, but why are there balloon animals in almost every Danielle/Nick scene? #LoveIsBlind,” a second observer questioned.

“Are balloon animals an easter egg or an inside joke with Danielle and Nick? Did I miss something?! #LoveIsBlind,” a third

asked, while a fourth said: “Six episodes into season two of Love is Blind and no one has addressed the elephant in the room: the balloon animals.”

Well, the curious need wonder no more, as Danielle has explained why her and Nick are surrounded by blow-up creatures in every scene.

Taking to her Instagram, the 29-year-old wrote: “For those of you questioning all the balloon animals constantly around Nick and myself (lolol)…we had a date in the pods where I taught him how to make balloon animals through the wall (not an easy task, but he prevailed).”

Danielle continued she learned the hobby from her mother, who masted the art of balloon animals and made them at parties when Danielle was a child.

“During quarantine, when I bored out of my damn mind and was sick of knitting, I was constantly picking up weird ass hobbies – in case you were wondering, Nick became a pro pretty quickly.”

Well, it’s certainly an intriguing hobby, to say the least!

In other Love Is Blind news, fans have been loving some of the ‘shady’ camerawork that has featured this season.

You can read more about that here.

Love is Blind is available to stream on Netflix, with new episodes dropping weekly.
