The 41-year-old reality TV star and the Saturday Night Live (SNL) comedian have been dating since October last year, and the initial stages of their romance has been teased in episodes of The Kardashians.
One clip from the show, which was filmed following her SNL appearance, has gone viral because those who have followed Kim for years are convinced her voice has changed since she started dating Pete.
The scene is taken from the fourth episode of the reality series and captures Kim, who was born and raised in Los Angeles, jokingly declaring: “Marriages come and go.”
She also hints that there could be just 'one more wedding' on the horizon, as her relationship with Pete, who was born and raised in Staten Island, New York, goes from strength to strength.
A Reddit user shared the clip on the discussion website with the post: "Kinda cute how Kim has started to sound so much like Pete."
This kicked off a debate in the replies as Kardashian fans debated whether Kim had a new, east coast accent.
One Reddit user quipped: “Her valley girl voice transformed into a middle-aged woman from Staten Island.”
Another fan attempted to transcribe Kim’s quote in what they perceived to be a new accent: “NO OFFENCE GUYS HEUHHEUHEU TAKE IT FROM ME HEUHEUHEUHEU”.
A third fan wrote: “Lmfaoo She is sounding like the late great Big Ang from Mob Wives.”
However, some fans did not agree, with one stating that Kim sounded like her mum. “I just see pure Kris Jenner in this hahaha,” they wrote.
Another Kardashian fan agreed and replied: "That’s all Kris at the end lol."
Someone else shared their theory behind Kim’s voice: “This is so candid. I wonder if she has always been like this and the mask is slipping, or she is changing her personality to match Pete.”
Do you think Kim's voice has changed?
