Celebrity Juice Axed By ITV After 14 Years On Air

Keith Lemon has confirmed Celebrity Juice has been cancelled

Keith Lemon has paid tribute to Celebrity Juice after confirming the panel show has been cancelled after 14 years.

The 49-year-old, whose real name is Leigh Francis, wrote on Twitter: "After 14 years, 26 series, 300 eps @CelebJuice is concluding later this year with two farewell specials.

"Thank you so so much to everyone who watched, to the team captains, guests, crew and itv2. It was the longest most fun party! I had a wonderful time. Big love x"

The series launched on ITV2 in 2008 with Lemon as the host. He was originally joined by Fearne Cotton and Holly Willoughby.

Cotton left the series permanently in 2018 and Willoughby, who has since focused on presenting This Morning and Dancing on Ice, last appeared in 2020.

Celebrity Juice has also welcomed Mel B, Gino D'Acampo, Paddy McGuinness, Kelly Brook and more recently Emily Atack and Love Island host Laura Whitmore to the panel.

The series had weekly celebrity guests and performances, including Charli XCX, Joey Essex and Frankie Bridge among many more.

Fans adored the show for its wacky and outrageous humour, skits and games while early series would often ridicule the week's most shocking moments in the tabloid news.

Viewers reacted quickly to the news, with one person tweeting: "Aww please no. That is such sad news. The show will be missed. I hope we get to still see you though Keith, top bloke. Can't wait for shopping personally”.

Another fan wrote: “I feel shame that Celebrity Juice is about to end. It really is the end of an era. Thank you for the millions of laughs you gave us for the last 14 years.”

A third Twitter user expressed their sadness in a tweet that said: “I’m absolutely gutted this is ending. But what a great run it’s had, Will definitely miss that on Thursday nights after the final 2 specials that air”.

“Noooooooo it’s my favourite show," one fan shared. "It’s been a blast. I’ve laughed myself stupid lol. Thanks so much for doing it Keith. I guess I’ll have to watch repeats.”

Meanwhile, someone else shared: “A bonkers but brilliant show, I've seen things on there I never thought I would! How the team came up with some of the ideas is beyond me. Thank you for the laughs. x”

Other fans are hoping to see the return of some of the former panelists for the final episodes. “Having watched every single episode I shall certainly miss my fix on a Thursday night. Hope @hollywills, @Fearnecotton, @Ginofantastico come back for the farewell shows," one person said on Twitter.

The news of the cancelation came just over a month after what is now the final season came to an end.
