One viewer tweeted: “Heartstopper portrayed the universal bisexual experience by having Nick google ‘bisexual’ immediately after watching Will and Elizabeth in Pirates of the Caribbean.”

“Nick Nelson having a bisexual panic over Keira Knightly and Orlando Bloom in Pirates of the Caribbean is the most relatable thing Heartstopper has ever done,” another viewer admitted.

A different fan wrote: “Heartstopper has proven that bisexual people are, in fact, drawn to Pirates of the Caribbean because of Elizabeth and Will.”

“Heartstopper showing Keira Knightley and Orlando Bloom in Pirates of the Caribbean then immediately jumping to a google search of ‘bisexual?’ is the funniest thing Netflix has ever done,” another noted.

“The bisexual lead in Heartstopper having a bisexual awakening because of Pirates of the Caribbean is some of the most realistic queer representation I’ve ever seen.”

Another added: “The way they show Nick and his bisexuality in the Pirates of the Caribbean scene is the most accurate and beautiful thing ever. I am full-on proper crying my eyes out, I love you so much, Nick Nelson. This is good bisexual representation!”

Season one of Heartstopper is available to stream now on Netflix.
