A brand-new Netflix series hit our screens last week (26 September) and it's clear the hype is nowhere near dying down yet.

The rom-com, starring Kristen Bell and Adam Brody, sky-rocketed straight to the top of the streaming platform's Top 10 list, after fans across the globe rattled through all 10 episodes in no time at all.

And now fans of the series, which tells the story of an unlucky-in-love sex podcaster who finds herself falling head over heels for a Rabbi, could be in for some very exciting news.

Since its release, Nobody Wants This has received an avalanche of rave reviews from Netflix viewers.

But it's clear many were itching for their next fix of the 'heartbreaking' series they claimed they'd 'never recover from'.

One X user demanded: "Starting the campaign for Nobody Wants This season 2 NOWWWW."

"Just finished Nobody Wants This season 1…spectacular gimme 14 more of them right now," penned a second.

And a third echoed: "Kinda need everyone to watching Nobody Wants This on Netflix bc I NEEEEED it to get renewed for season 2!!!"

Erin Foster, the creator of the series who took inspiration for Nobody Wants This from her own personal love story with her husband Simon Tikhman, has shared an update on her plans for a possible second season following the mammoth success of the first.

Speaking to Indiewire, Foster confirmed the show was getting a 'really positive response', adding: "And so I think the conversations have definitely started to happen about a potential Season 2.

"The story in Season 1 unfolds really slowly. And so I think if there is a Season 2 I would want to just kind of pick up where we leave off and continue to take it slow, because I don’t want us to get too far ahead of ourselves."

She then assured: "I mean, I want my show to be on the air as long as possible!"

I'm sure many other Netflix users share a similar sentiment!

And, just a few days ago, Foster told The Wrap that the two central actors - Bell and Brody - were well up for getting involved in another season.

"I would love to do a Season 2; Kristen and Adam would love to do a Season 2," she revealed.

"There’s so much more story to tell so if people like the show, then I would be really excited to keep telling it."

Nobody Wants This is currently available to stream on Netflix.
