Fans were freaking out at the Euphoria trailer release earlier this week, which announced that the second season will be coming January 2022.
But they're also going wild over a particular moment that possibly points to a relationship between two certain characters.

While there is A LOT to unpack in that trailer, fans are particularly pouring themselves over a certain part when Nate (Jacob Elordi) is driving a car and looks over to the passenger seat. The camera then cuts away to presumably Cassie (Sydney Sweeney) bending over the edge of an open window in a moving car.

This could be a dramatic plot line for season two as Cassie and Maddy (Alexa Demie) are best friends and Maddy dated Nate in the previous season. Cassie is also in a vulnerable position after going having an abortion and having difficult relationships with men before and fans having a particular dislike for Nate after being violent and abusive to other women on the show.
A Reddit post entitled 'Sydney Sweeney/Cassie can steal a whole trailer in 1 second' had the clip of the two in the trailer and people have been flocking to reply.
One person tried to reason with other commenters: "Don't be fooled by the power of editing. They were both in a car, doesn't show them in the same car. Then again, that split second has everyone talking so... Mission Accomplished."

But someone else replied: "They definitely wouldn’t show them together for no reason".
In another thread discussing the possible relationship, one person wasn't entirely angry about the possibility: "i feel like it will make it so interesting though? I obviously don’t want them to be endgame, I don’t think Nate deserves end game with anyone. But brief fling to explore their dynamic would interesting as all we know about them is that Nate doesn’t take her seriously. IDK we can’t always have the characters best interests at heart that would make bad TV".
Twitter users were slightly more angry: "BRO IF CASSIE DONT GET OUT FROM THAT MF CAR WITH NATE".

Some fans were stressing about what Maddy would do when she finds out: "What is Maddy gonna think ab [sic.] Cassie and Nate I legit can’t breathe I’m already stressed".
Euphoria will air weekly in the US from 9th January on HBO and from January 10th in the UK on Sky Atlantic and streaming service NOW with a NOW Entertainment Membership.
