The trailer for the next season dropped - and fans have been going wild for it.

Watch the trailer below:

The trailer sees main character Rue, played by Zendaya who was the youngest person to ever win an Emmy for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series for the role, singing and dancing to 'Call Me Irresponsible', by Bobby Darin.

The first look then shares snippets of what the original cast and new recruits will be getting up to.

At the end, the trailer announces the series will return on 9th January 2022.

Euphoria fans were loving the trailer and thrilled that they were finally getting their second season.

One fan took to Twitter and said: "The best thing I’ve seen all day".

"FINALLY A DATE AND TRAILER FOR EUPHORIA LEGGO!", exclaimed another very excited Euphoria lover.

There was also a person who now had all their Sundays in the new year full and busy thanks to the new season: "It’s been announced that season 2 of Euphoria is finally coming out. with that being said, come January all my Sundays will be booked".

Despite there being two interim episodes in 2021 focused on Jules (Hunter Schafer) and Rue's separate journeys after the two parted ways at the end of season one, people were slightly annoyed at the wait for the next season.

One person tweeted: "Season 1 of Euphoria aired in 2019 and we’re getting Season 2 in 2022. Damn".

While someone else had demands for the second series: "This season better be like 20 episodes long since we had to wait two years".

There was also some specific love for Rue/Zendaya.

A Twitter user captioned a shot of the trailer naming Zendaya as an Emmy winner: "THERE’S SO MUCH GOING ON HERE BUT THIS HAS TO BE MY FAVOURITE PART".

Another fan replied to the trailer: "I MISSED RUE SO MUCH".

Someone also joked about having to prep for the new beauty looks the season will give us: "Oooo, babes, I’m getting my makeup and brushes and clean and ready to go for these looks I’ll be doing."

Bring on the new year and more Zendaya please!

Euphoria will air weekly in the US from 9th January on HBO and from January 10th in the UK on Sky Atlantic and streaming service NOW with a NOW Entertainment Membership.
