Gogglebox stars Dave and Shirley Griffiths made a frightening discovery in their home and immediately took to social media to ask for advice.

The couple, from Caerphilly, South Wales are one of the most beloved armchair critics on the hit Friday night Channel 4 series and fans had lots of advice after seeing the ‘beast’.

Posting on their shared Instagram page, the couple posted a shockingly detailed zoomed in photo of a hairy spider.

“Found this out the back, any ideas,” they wrote in the caption, alongside a spider emoji.

How terrifying!

Thankfully, hundreds of fans shared their advice for what to do and we’re hoping that Dave and Shirley are able to solve their eight-legged problem soon. And if fans have their way, Dave and Shirley could be sharing their critiques from a brand new location.

One commenter urged the couple to move house, writing: “Move house! That’s the best idea!”

Another fan quipped: “Yes I've an idea, run away”.

A third follower joked: “Flame thrower should sort that one out”.

In fact, lots of followers urged the couple to pack up and leave their home after spotting the humongous creepy crawler.

“Pretty big I would start charging it rent,” one Gogglebox fan wrote.

Similarly, another fan said: “I like spiders but even I would give it the house keys & move!!!”

When they’re not taking pictures of enormous spiders, the couple spend their time critiquing the biggest television moments of the week for Gogglebox. They joined the series in 2015 after they were asked to join the show by a casting agent.

Dave and Shirley also share cute selfies on Instagram too. (

Outside of their Channel 4 jobs, Dave works as a cleaner in a factory and his wife Shirley works in retail.

The couple’s Instagram account is not only made up of their shocking finds in their home. They often share pictures of their two grown-up children, Simon and Gemma, on Instagram as well as their trips to the local pub and food.
