You Can Now 'Erase' Your Ex Out Of All Your Best Photos

Boy, bye.

You may have thought it was true love at the time – but things between you and your ex haven’t worked out for the best, and you’ve gone your separate ways.

Now, all that remains of your relationship are happy memories and a few photos, and while you look absolutely flames, you’d rather not see their face.

Thankfully, the tech wizards at Google have worked their magic, with the new Google Pixel 6 series now including a tool that allows you to remove unwanted objects (and people) from pictures altogether.

Titled the ‘Magic Eraser’, the tool removes the selected item and fills the blank space with details and colour that matches the photo’s background – so it’d look as if the object in question was never there.

So how does it work? Well, first off, you need to launch the Google Photos app on your Pixel 6 or Pixel 6 Pro app.

Find the photo you want to make changes to and tap the ‘edit’ button.

You’ll then be brought to a menu with a list of options – from there, tap ‘tools’ and select ‘Magic Eraser’.

Once the Magic Eraser is selected, simply draw a line or ring around the object you want to remove from the photo.

When you’re done highlighting the selected object, it will be removed from the picture as if by magic, thanks to the Google Pixel 6’s impressive processing power.

Now, you’ll have no more awkward selfies with your ex lurking on your phone.

In other tech news, iPhone users are discovering you can activate a secret camera on your device.

TikTok user Marlon Wireless, who regularly posts phone tips and repairs (as well as the odd broken phone) revealed the simple way you can access the hidden camera.

Having racked up over 40,000 views, many were stunned to find there was an easy way to activate the camera – which has a number of unique filters.

You can read more about that here.
