Now, we can all agree that the holiday period can be a little tighter, money-wise, than usual.

What with all the extra Christmas outgoings, festive spending and increased heating bills - it makes sense why people would want to scrimp and save where they can.

However, one woman has warned about what 'nobody tells you' when it comes to buying cheaper Ugg boots. Have a look:

Influencer Juliana, who goes by the handle @juli._.77 online, took to TikTok to ask her 5k followers: "Why does nobody tell you this about Uggs?"

She explained that she asked her Uggs for her birthday and decided to get them at a discounted price from the kids' section.

"Because it’s cheaper and it’s the same size," she clarified.

Julia then admitted: "I didn’t realise that they were different. So this is what nobody tells you."

In the TikTok, the content creator could be seen holding up a pair of the chestnut-coloured Kids’ Classic II Mini boots before highlighting what she reckons were the major differences between the adults and kids version of the shoe.

She claimed: "The sole is like... not, not too much, but it’s like a little bit thinner."

"I compared these to my other ones that I have and it’s like a good like this much," she continued while holding up her finger to demonstrate the one-inch difference. "And it kind of makes a difference once it’s on."

However, Julia revealed that she 'still likes' the Uggs despite them not being exactly what she expected.

"I still like them, but, like, nobody tells you this. And I feel like this applies to all the kids’ sizes, like they are smaller. Maybe I’m just the one who didn’t think it through," she said.

The influencer added: "Still love them, though."

People clearly couldn't wait to share their reactions to the video with one shopper who had a similar idea writing: "I just ordered the kids platform Uggs and didn’t realise they were slightly lower than women's . Never mind still saved me almost £80!"

Others, however, rushed in to share why they thought there were such major differences between the adult and kid models of the shoe.

Juliana said she still 'loves' the shoes despite the alleged difference.

One TikTok user declared: "Kids Uggs have less padding and support for your feet."

"I think kid sizes are generally lesser in quality since kids grow out of sizes kinda quickly so they’re not made to last as much," penned a second.

"Kids Uggs are like that becayse it’s for kids…. kids are very clumsy so they make it thinner for them lol," chimed in a third.

A fourth quipped: "As someone who buys both kids and women’s shoes, I can say most brand’s kids shoes are made slightly different."

"As someone who worked at many shoe stores the difference between woman’s size and kids 'same' size is that kids shoes are meant for less body weight," explained a retail worker.

A final TikTok user echoed: "They are cheaper…why do people think they are going to be exactly the same. Kids grow, the soles don’t need to last as long."
