Mother-of-the-bride shamed for wearing ‘tackiest outfit of all time’ at daughter’s wedding

The woman's gown has upset a lot of people

There’s a lot of unspoken (if not screamed out by a bridezilla beforehand) rules when it comes to the dress code for wedding guests.

It’s usually nto a very good idea to wear white if you’re not the bride. And a lot of people are also very against the colour red.

And this mother-of-the bride got shamed on Reddit for wearing the ‘tackiest outfit of all time’.

In absolute shock of her outfit, the user shared a snap they’d come across of the said bride’s mother – with her face scribbled out, luckily.

User ‘lolling94’ teased: “(S)Mother of the bride,” with a bunch of upside-down smiley-faces and clapping emojis.

The older woman is rocking a floor-length white gown adorned with feathers and a whole lot of sparkle.

Silver embroidery covers the bust and she’s completed the look with a large hat.

And the comments section opens up a whole minefield of hating on her outfit.

While some said she mixed up ‘race day’ with ‘Vegas’, one called her ‘a cruise ship cocktail bar singer’.

Many slammed it as ‘trashy’ and ‘the tackiest’ as others had a problem with the colour alone.

One wrote: “Why would the bride’s mother do this. She could have gotten the same style in another colour.” Well at least they’re not totally trolling the outfit itself.

Another put: “That is a straight up wedding dress. Shame is right!”

And one even said: “I would just make my photographer edit her dress to be blue or something.”

While another wrote: “I don't see her being mistaken for the bride so much as going way over the top--it looks like a daytime wedding, and while I obviously don't know the dress code, this is closer to the kind of dress one would wear for a formal evening wedding.”

Another thinks she can get away with it because: “Seeing the picture i KNEW that wasn't the bride though. It's clearly not a wedding dress.

“If it was that's the ugliest wedding dress ever. I give this a pass just by how ugly it is. the bride can't even be mad at it.”

Another woman previously upset TikTok users when she showed off a dress she thought was perfect for wedding guests.

With a base-colour of white, it’s decked out in floral patterns but people said it was ‘too white for a wedding’ and there were ‘so many other colours to choose from’.

But others thought it was totally fine, even ordering it themselves.

A nice floral dress might be a bit easier to get away with than a white sparkly gown to be fair.
