People are losing their minds over new ‘whipped’ almond shower cream that’s good enough to eat

So good you could eat it (but don't eat it)

When it comes to body washes it can be tempting to stick to your tried-and-tested supermarket fave, saving your hard-earned cash for other parts of your beauty routine.

Yet one luxury shower cream is winning over fans and despite the £17 ($22) price tag, devotees insist it's worth every penny.

Those who have tried the new shower cream say it leaves their skin feeling hydrated and soft, meaning you can skip out moisturising from your beauty routine.

What's more, it looks and smells so good you could almost eat it. Obviously, please don't eat it.

What is the shower cream everyone's going mad for?

The new L'Occitane Almond Delicious Shower Cream launched in the UK just two weeks ago (April 29) but it's already winning fans thanks to its scrummy almond scent and impressive results.

Part of the brand's popular Almond range, the shower cream is similar to the popular Almond Shower Oil but just comes in a lighter 'whipped' texture.

L'Occitane explains the almond ingredient is derived from Provence, France and the Mediterranean basin, adding: "Its nourishing whipped texture leaves the skin cleansed, fresh and softened." I mean, what's not to love?

It's also designed to work well with red or itchy skin, making it perfect for sunburn or on holiday, thanks to its Omega 9 ingredients — but if you're not sure, always check with a dermatologist first.

Why do people love it so much?

The cream contains squalene which can help to make skin more toned; alongside vitamin E and beta-sitosterol, this all-singing shower hero helps to improve skin elasticity leaving your skin feeling tighter and softer.

It's also already become such a favourite that fans just can't get enough of it, as one person left in a review: "I love this new almond cream, it has the same gorgeous unique scent as the shower oil and felt great on my skin.

"I loved the whipped cream texture which quickly transformed into a luxurious foam. I would definitely recommend it, my skin feels so moisturised and smells wonderful."

Another thought the same as they wrote: "Wow! It's like a soft whipped cloud of almond delight! Beautiful soft whipped shower oil, no more sloshing onto hands! This is just amazing. The whipped texture is light and fluffy just like you'd imagine a cloud to feel.

"The scent is amazing, just what you will expect from this almond range! The moment the whipped cloud came into contact with my skin, it turned into the oil texture and is a delight to use. The feeling of softness and the subtle almond scent is just luxurious. This is a definite favourite of mine."

"Obsessed with this!" shared a third on Instagram, whilst another added: "Need this in my life!"

L'Occitane Almond Delicious Shower Cream retails for £17.50 for 200ml via the L'Occitane UK website. You can also shop the Almond range in L'Occitane USA.
