Just when you thought you had given up on Tinder, someone comes along and gives you a reason to keep it on your phone a little longer.

No, not the perfect match, but a genius TikToker who made us realise that we can get our home DIY sorted with the help of the dating app.

Creator @peevadiva blew viewers' minds when she revealed that she had found someone on Tinder to come over and help her put up shelves. Watch the video here:

Impressed by her initiative, viewers praised the TikToker for thinking outside of the (tool) box.

"Modern problems require modern solutions" wrote one user.

"First date: ✨Arts and Crafts✨" commented another.

"Ohhhhh so this is what tinder is for!!!!!!!" joked a third.

Others argued that her Tinder match was doing a terrible DIY job, convinced that he had put up the shelves the wrong way around.

Tinder themselves commented: "Acreaming at them being upside down".

"Shelf is literally upside down 😂" added another viewer.

It turns out there's more than one use for Tinder. (

And it turns out that this genius TikToker isn't the only one who has used dating apps for pretty much anything other than dating.

One woman commented: "My whole apartment is put together by different men. It is what it is. Lmaooo"

A second admitted: "I had someone take my accounting test from Hinge", while a third user confessed: "That time this guy from Bumble renovated my bathroom in exchange for home cooked meal".

And a fourth added "I once made a random guy I brought home from the bar set up a hammock for me in my backyard at 2 am."

So if you felt guilty at the prospect of using your dating app matches for other tasks, rest assured there are plenty of other women doing the exact same thing!

And if you find the love of your life in the meantime, that's a bonus!
