When Prince Harry and Meghan Markle married in 2018, it was the event of the year, and those who were invited were soon to find out how far organisers would go to keep things hush-hush.

Not only did celebrities and royals alike gather to watch the pair exchange their vows, but millions of people tuned in on the tele to watch the broadcast whilst they could comfortably sit at home.

But while Meghan had experienced fame before as an actress, with her most notable role on Suits, it was nothing like she was experiencing on the run up to her wedding.

Like anyone, it was getting to her and her husband and less than two years later, the pair left the Royal Family life and started afresh in the US with their two children, Archie and Lilibet.

But the day in question had to go off without a hitch, as nobody wants their wedding to become the source of tabloid gossip.

Author Tina Brown, who wrote the book Palace Papers, claimed that the lead up to the wedding was an utter ‘s*** show’, with an insider telling her that it was ‘all drama, all the time’ and that palace workers were ‘fed up’ with the list of demands they were being given by the couple.

As for the ceremony and party, to stop more drama from occurring and leaking to the press, the guards stepped in and issued a warning to everyone who entered the venue.

Alexi Lubomirski, who took the official portraits of Meghan, Harry, and their loved ones, revealed all in a TikTok video about what was said to guests upon their arrival at the chapel.

He claimed: "Ladies and gentlemen, please be careful what you are saying to each other because the world can lip-read."

The photographer explained that his is why you can see many guests talking with their hand in front of their mouths to one another.

He said in the clip: "As you walk in, you see a lot of people sort of talking like this...You don't know what you're talking about, but everyone on these cameras is watching and lip-reading."

While the secrecy was kept at the event, the same can’t be said about what allegedly happened before and afterwards.

It had been reported that the Meghan and Princess Kate had fallen out in the weeks leading up to the wedding over Princess Charlotte's dress - with Kate apparently claiming it to be too short.

"A few days before the wedding, she was upset about something pertaining - yes, the issue was correct - about flower-girl dresses, and it made me cry, and it really hurt my feelings," Meghan told Oprah in a televised interview.

"What was hard to get over was being blamed for something that not only I didn’t do but that happened to me.

"And the people who were part of our wedding going to our comms team and saying, 'I know this didn’t happen'. I don’t have to tell them what actually happened," she added.
