Fans of the Royal Family have heaped this week praise onto future-king Prince George.

After clocking onto a heartwarming act of kindness the 11-year-old exhibited towards his little sister during yesterday's Christmas service appearance in Sandringham, many have commended him online.

Along with siblings Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis, their parents, the Prince and Princess of Wales and a whole host of high-profile royals, George rocked up to St Mary Magdelene Church as per the monarchy's long-standing festive tradition.

For decades, the King/Queen of England has led the procession to the Sandringham church, meeting with adoring members of the public both before and after the service.

And whilst it's usually the grown-ups taking centre-stage - particularly Prince William and Kate Middleton, and Prince Edward and Sophie Wessex shaking hands and accepting gifts from onlookers, the Wales' royal children yesterday ended up stealing the show.

The trio were seen by onlookers making their way down the lines of crowds whilst distributing well wishes, with nine-year-old Princess Charlotte seemingly one of the most sought-after royals.

As we say, however, one particularly poignant moment from yesterday's festivities involving Charlotte and her big brother George set viewers hearts alight in a clip which has since gone viral online.

The video in question - filmed by a fellow onlooker - saw the young Princess pacing the row of crowds with multitudes of hands poking out at her, some which contained flowers, some with gifts.

Eventually, Charlotte's arms were filled with adornments to the point where she couldn't possibly shake anymore hands.

She attempted to reach out to her father for help, but William was too busy greeting people himself.

Thankfully, however, Charlotte's despair didn't go unnoticed by Prince George, who discreetly intervened to relieve his sister of some of her gifts in a move which has been praised online.

"What a nice move there #PrinceGeorge," one penned on X. "He saw the man waiting to shake hand with Princess Charlotte but she have things in her hand she's nudging her dad but he's busy so BIG BROTHER to the rescue!"

Another wrote: "Love how discreetly George did that. Minimum of fuss. Also like how the officer stepped up when there seemed to be something off."

"Aw George watching out to for his little sister is so sweet," a third added.

Following Wednesday's service, the Wales' and their kids joined 45 other royals - upon King Charles' invitation - for a huge family Christmas at Buckingham Palace.

In a festive first - being that the group usually get together in either Sandringham or Windsor Castle - the group piled into the institution's central headquarters with the likes of Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie, their husbands and children, the Wessexes, Princess Anne, the Tindalls and their children.

Meanwhile, Prince Harry, wife Meghan Markle and their children Archie and Lilibet remained at their home in Montecito, California for the festive season, whilst Prince Andrew lost out on an invite, supposedly due to his recent affiliation with an alleged Chinese spy.
