Princess Eugenie shares sweet update on baby girl with rare Royal Family trait
Almost a month after giving birth, Princess Eugenie has shared a glimpse into life as a mother-of-three.
The 36-year-old royal and her husband Jack Brooksbank welcomed their first and only daughter, baby Adelaide Elizabeth Annina Brooksbank, on 3 August.
The couple, who also share two sons, August, five, and Ernest, three, took to Instagram on Monday (31 August) to share some heartwarming snapshots of their newborn bubble.
Eugenie posted an adorable photo of Adelaide’s big brothers cuddling her, while wearing matching pyjamas, as well as another showing them sweetly giving her a kiss on the head, while she’s swaddled in a pink and white blanket.

Alongside the sweet family photos, she wrote: “Happy days with my babies.”
The Princess also shared a third photo of herself holding her first girl, writing: “4 weeks of you!!”
The little one has already made history at just a month old, as she has a very unique trait seen in only one other Royal Family - her cousin, Princess Beatrice’s daughter Athena, who was born in January 2025.
Both little girls are the first Royal Family members to be part of Generation Beta, AKA ‘Gen Beta’ for short.
For those who are confused, this is the cohort that succeeds Generation Alpha, is made up of those born between 2025 and 2039, and could end up being the first generation to live into the 22nd century.
The month-old update comes just a few weeks after Eugenie revealed her baby girl’s name, after keeping fans on their toes for a while after giving birth.
On 17 August, Eugenie took to social media with more photos of the little one, including one of her big brothers looking after her.
She announced: “2 weeks ago today we welcomed our girl to the world. And since then we've had the most special, cosy and love-filled time.
“We are so happy to share Adelaide Elizabeth Annina Brooksbank. Named after three people we love and admire past and present, including her Great-Grandmother who we hold close in our hearts.”
She explained: “Her name is part of English and Portuguese history, two places we love and call home. Augie and Ernie are already the best big brothers.”
As Eugenie said, her little girl has a very special moniker, as she’s named after three people the family ‘love’.
As outlined by Hello! Magazine, the baby’s first name Adelaide was inspired by two historical figures - Queen Adelaide, who was married to the UK's King William IV (1792-1849) and Maria Adelaide of Portugal, a member of the House of Braganza and a World War II resistance hero.
As for her middle name Elizabeth, it’s pretty self-explanatory that Eugenie is paying homage to her late grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II.
Annina, though, is the one name that’s yet to have it’s direct inspiration revealed.
Hello! reports that Eugenie has a friend named Annina Pfuel, a Bavarian-born designer who is the daughter of Count Christian Bruges-von Pfuel; however, it’s unknown whether this is who the newborn has been named after.
