Royal fans have been sharing sad theories as to why they think Prince William and Prince Harry don't commemorate their late mother's birthday publicly.
Today, July 1, would have been Princess Diana's 64th birthday.
The royal brothers last acknowledged their late mother's birthday together publicly back in 2021, on what would have been her 60th birthday, with the unveiling of a stunning statue.
Prince William and Prince Harry gathered in the Kensington Palace sunken garden for the reveal and released a statement: "We remember her love, strength and character—qualities that made her a force for good around the world, changing countless lives for the better.

"Every day, we wish she were still with us, and our hope is that this statue will be seen forever as a symbol of her life and her legacy. Thank you to Ian Rank-Broadley, Pip Morrison and their teams for their outstanding work, to the friends and donors who helped make this happen, and to all those around the world who keep our mother's memory alive."
In the years since, royal fans have noticed that neither William or Harry pay tribute to their late mother on social media and have asked why it is.
“I’ve noticed they don’t mention anything about Princess Diana’s birthday – it must still be hard for them," mused one fan.

Another said: "For all of those who say it’s disrespectful or that they should post something for Diana’s birthday: 1) they don’t run this account, simple, and 2) don’t you think William has his own way of celebrating (if he does) his late mother’s birthday?”
They also previously marked the anniversary by taking part in a documentary to mark 20 years since her death in 2017, called Diana, Our Mother: Her Life and Legacy.
"I give thanks that I was lucky enough to be her son and that I got to know her for the 15 years that I did," William said.

"She set us up really well. She gave us the right tools and had prepared us well for life in the best way she could not obviously knowing what was going to happen."
Harry agreed: "She was our mum. She still is our mum. And you know, of course as a son, I would say that she's the best mum in the world."
Both William and Harry also gave their daughters, Charlotte and Lilibet, the name Diana as a middle name as a sweet tribute.
One Diana fan wrote on X: "Happy Birthday Princess Diana. William is carrying on your legacy with deep compassion for others and loving respect for you," as he visited a homeless shelter.

Many are seeing it as a nod to his mother, as he continues on with her work, after Diana famously took both William and Harry along to homeless shelters from a young age.
Prince William set up his charity Homewards two years ago, and has been focusing on six areas of the country.
Today he went to visit Sheffield to see the work the foundation is supporting there.

The charity aims to make homelessness 'rare, brief and unrepeated'.
