Princess Anne's fetish inspired underwear picture is her most risqué royal move yet

That's a photo you'd probably never expect to see...

Many people tend to associate the Royal Family with being prim and proper, following strict traditions and adhering to age-old protocols when out and about.

However, it's clear that Princess Anne, the sister of King Charles III, is shaking things up a notch (or five) with her new, raunchy lingerie picture probably being up there as one of her most risqué royal moves yet.

Now, you wouldn't necessarily ever expect to read the words 'Princess Anne' and 'fetish underwear' in the same sentence, but it's clear there's a first time for everything!

The somewhat surprising, and incredibly bizarre, situation came about when the 75-year-old visited Caerphilly in South Wales last week (15 September) as part of her long-term role as president of the UK Fashion and Textile Association.

During the visit, Anne rocked up to luxury underwear brand Edge o’ Beyond’s workshop of all places to highlight the virtues of garment manufacturing in the UK.

She unveiled a plaque on one of the brand’s underwear displays, making for quite the, ahem, unexpected royal photo op.

According to the Edge o' Beyond’s founder, Naomi De Haan, Anne was 'very cool, very interested in everything', and apparently 'came across as very feminist', she told The Telegraph.

While at the workshop, employees showed Anne how they constructed their jewellery-adorned lingerie as she toured their studio and spoke to the machinists.

She could also be seen discussing the process of corset construction without the use of whalebone as well as the issues surrounding 'censorship of the female body' - something which the outlet reports can make promoting lingerie products on social media tricky.

Speaking about the visit afterwards, Ms De Haan beamed: "It was an immense honour to welcome Her Royal Highness to our atelier.

"Her deep understanding of the fashion and textile industry and her genuine curiosity were inspiring for our whole team.

"This visit is recognition of the exceptional skills of our technicians and a celebration of keeping British lingerie craftsmanship alive."

"We were so proud to welcome Her Royal Highness The Princess Royal, President of the UK Fashion + Textile Association, to our South Wales Atelier last week, to mark our 11th anniversary, and to celebrate our commitment to reviving garment manufacturing in the UK," Edge o' Beyond captioned an Instagram carousel of the visit.

"Her Royal Highness’s deep understanding of the fashion + textile industry + her genuine curiosity were inspiring for our whole team."

The company concluded by praising the support they've received: "This visit is recognition of the exceptional skills of our technicians, + a celebration of keeping British lingerie craftsmanship alive.

"We can’t wait to share more with you soon, thank you for all your wonderful support over the last 11 years!"
