A lip reader has revealed one particularly snarky comment Prince Louis apparently made to his father, Prince William, during their rare public appearance today (5 May).

The pair, who were also joined by Kate Middleton, Prince George and Princess Charlotte, attended the VE Day parade in London as the UK marked 80 years since the formal acceptance of Germany's surrender in WWII.

As the newly-turned seven-year-old took his seat alongside William, he was seen brushing raindrops off his father's shoulder, prompting the dad-of-three to turn towards him and seemingly give him a tap on the leg.

The pair then exchanged a few words together, with lip reading expert Nicola Hickling revealing to The Sun that William told Louis: "Look at this I think it's going to be quite wet today."

According to the outlet, Louis then asked a savage six-word question to William: "Wasn't this supposed to be fun?"

"It is son," William reportedly replied, also saying 'you will never forget this' before explaining how the parade will work.

"They will come along here, and then go towards there, and then we will make our way back," he said.

William reportedly added: "It's not going to be long and I want you to be taking an interest."

The lip reader said that George, 11, then joined in by saying: "I’ve got something in my eye."

Nicola also analysed an exchange between Kate and Charlotte, 10.

"Doesn't papa look smart today?" Kate reportedly asked her daughter.

Some eagle-eyed viewers watching the parade at home spotted an amusing moment between Louis and George.

During Sky News’ footage, a camera focused on the siblings as George went to fix his hair, running his fingers through his locks to move it out of his face.

Moments later, Louis then appeared to mimic him, with an obvious display of exaggeration - a gesture which has sent many royal fans rushing to social media to share their reactions.

Commenting on X, one user wrote: "Prince Louis copying his brother Prince George is so funny."

"I cannot with Prince Louis. Look at him mimicking Prince George and adding some ‘snazz’ to it. He is truly the moment," gushed a second, while a third quipped: "That child IS EXTRA."

A fourth added: "The prince of trolling. Had me rolling when I saw it."

Another echoed: "Prince Louis copying his brother Prince George is so funny."

And a final royal fan chirped: "Prince Louis is so freaking funny."
