A lip reader has revealed the unexpected remark Prince Andrew's made during his recent Easter appearance.

During the Easter Sunday service over the weekend (20 April), the 65-year-old Duke of York arrived at St George's Chapel in Windsor Castle for the annual royal occasion - a ceremony lead by the likes of his older brother, King Charles III, as well as Queen Camilla.

The disgraced Duke - who has been accused by Virginia Giuffre of sexually abusing her when she was a minor - attended the event alongside his ex-wife Sarah 'Fergie' Ferguson, Duchess of York as well as Princess Anne and her husband Sir Tim Laurence.

His attendance will have, no doubt, shocked royal fans given that the last time he was papped at a royal family event was last Easter in 2024.

According to lip reader Jeremy Freeman, he mentioned Prince William and his wife Kate Middleton - who were not in attendance at the ceremony - and seemed to be referring to a seating plan.

Body language expert, Judi James, told The Mirror that Andrew displayed a 'cocky arrogance' during an 'awkward-looking' chat.

"Prince Andrew's body language made this look like his debutante's coming out ball as he performed a kind royal quick-step to appear back in the role of second son to the late Queen," she shared.

"While his ex-wife Fergie displayed newly-found signals of royal confidence, waving to the crowds, chatting and laughing in her signature animated way and striding forward to greet and chat with the clergy, Andrew waited until the rest of the Firm were in place before suddenly appearing from the gloom of the Chapel doorway where he must have been hiding before making his dramatic entrance."

The expert added: "Andrew's body language signals were all about a kind of cocky arrogance here. With his jacket undone he positioned himself in the gap in the middle of the group where he stood with his legs splayed in a pose of confidence.

"He crossed one arm over his belly and his free hand was used to show a stabbing pointing index finger as he chatted with a rather awkward-looking Commander Tim.

"He evaporated back into the gloom of the porch once Charles arrived but that also gave him the option of walking into the chapel close behind the King and Queen, perhaps with Fergie who seemed to have nipped to stand behind him."

The Prince and Princess of Wales have long been regular attendees with the rest of the royal family at the holiday gathering but they sadly missed last year's church service amid Kate's cancer diagnosis.

The pair, along with their three children - Prince George, 11, Princess Charlotte, nine, and seven-year-old Prince Louis - have since broken the Easter tradition for the second time in a row.

Instead, Kate and William spent the Easter weekend with their children at their country home in Norfolk.
