Members of the British royal family packed into Wimbledon’s Centre Court this weekend to watch the 2025 Men’s Singles final - but one person was notably missing from the paramount sporting event.
On Sunday (July 13), the penultimate Grand Slam of the tennis season concluded with Jannik Sinner, 23, being crowned the men’s Wimbledon Singles champion.
24-year-old Iga Świątek reigned victorious the day before (Saturday, July 12), bringing her Grand Slam tally to six with a 6-0, 6-0 victory over Amanda Anisimova, 23.
Meanwhile, Wang Ziying, 26, defeated Top Seed Yui Kamiji, 31, to win the wheelchair ladies' singles title, and Great Britain's Alfie Hewett and Gordon Reid missed out on the Wimbledon men's wheelchair doubles title after losing to Martin de la Puente and Ruben Spaargaren.

Kate, the Princess of Wales, attended both the 13th and 14th day of action at Wimbledon.
The 43-year-old watched both the Women’s and Men’s Singles bouts from the Royal Box and was on hand to deliver trophies to Świątek and Sinner, respectively.
On the final day of action, Kate was joined in the Royal Box by her husband, William, the Prince of Wales.

The royal couple’s eldest children, 11-year-old Prince George, who made his Centre Court debut back in 2022, and Princess Charlotte, 10, who first attended in 2023, also accompanied them.
Prince Louis, the seven-year-old son of William, 43 and Kate, was notably missing, not being given the chance to celebrate Sinner’s 4-6, 6-4, 6-4, 6-4 victory over Alcaraz.
According to People, this may be because Louis is yet to reach the ‘right’ age to attend the grass-based sporting event, with both his brother and sister being eight when they debuted.

This means that Louis could potentially be in line to appear at the 2026 edition of the Wimbledon Championships, with the youngster set to turn eight on April 23.
Amid the child’s absence, royal family fans have all been saying the same thing about George, who was snapped looking less-than-impressed during the Men’s Singles bout.
The child, who is second in line to the British throne, was suited and booted to adhere to the strict 74-seat Royal Box dress code.
Those sitting in the exclusive area are not allowed to wear T-shirts or denim, and hoodies, sports shoes and hoodies must be left at home.

Children are also expected to dress smart, which is why George was snapped wearing a blue shirt, striped tie and smart blazer in the roasting London heat.
Some fans claimed the young Prince looked ‘sad’, with others claiming it may have been because of his chosen outfit.

“Did he have to be in a suit? Surely he could’ve worn a polo and shorts????,” asked one Instagram user.
“Poor kiddo, felt so sorry for him buttoned up in his suit & tie! No wonder he looks in a huff bless him,” replied someone else. “Nice shirt & some shorts could have done.”
Another echoed: “Poor kids probably boiling - normal kids are playing in paddling pools and eating ice cream not sat around in full suits having to be perfectly behaved whilst everyone stares at them.”
