During his latest rare visit to the UK, the Duke of Sussex sustained an injury he undoubtedly wasn't expecting.
Prince Harry touched down in his home country last week ahead of the 2026 Invictus Games, which kicked off in Birmingham on Friday (10 Jul).
The trip, which would also serve as the first time Meghan Markle and their two children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, had visited their father's family in over four years, had previously been plagued by controversy.
Meghan and the kids were reported to have pulled out of the festivities in the final hour due to a lack of taxpayer-funded security, while Buckingham Palace officials revoked their offer for Harry to stay following a delayed response.

Despite the upheaval, King Charles' staff later confirmed that he'd met with his son and grandchildren - including Lilibet, whom he was introduced to for the first time - and that he was looking forward to the Sussexes' next visit.
Also during his trip, Harry made a number of other public appearances, including by paying a visit to the Scotty's Little Soldiers festival in Warwickshire, where he met with a horde of adorable farm animals.
The event supports children who've lost a parent while serving in the military - a cause close to the Prince's heart.
There, the 41-year-old even took part in a goat yoga session, which saw participants move through standard yoga poses while naturally curious baby goats wander, cuddle, or climb onto people's backs.

One, however, had the idea to jump down hard onto Harry's nether-regions while he lay on the ground, having been instructed to let the animals and their babies explore the pen around them.
The father-of-two - who, strangely, wore a strict blue button-up shirt and chinos for the outdoorsy outing - then sat up to console his private parts.
In footage that later went viral online, Harry is seen attempting to laugh off the painful injury, all the while applying pressure to his own crown jewels.
Later on, Harry joined in on a water balloon fight, which took place during an inflatable obstacle course.
He was slapped straight in the face at one point by one balloon hurled by a little boy, whom he later told, 'What’s your name? I’ll remember you', as per Page Six.

In the days since, the Prince has been praised for his hands-on attitude, and for not being phased by the embarrassing blunder.
"Prince Harry slaying goat yoga like a true chaotic royal dad," one X user gushed.
Another remarked: "Haaaaa, he's the very best!"
"Prince Harry is the GOAT [Greatest of All Time]" a third continued.
