Prince Harry and King Charles III are reportedly set to meet for the first time in almost two years, in just a few weeks.
For those in need of a reminder, the Duke of Sussex has had a somewhat rocky relationship with his closest relatives since he and wife, Meghan Markle, resigned from their royal responsibilities in 2020.
They upped sticks and moved to California in the same year, citing their reasons as wanting space to raise their son, Archie, and their daughter Lilibet was born there shortly after in 2021.
Since resigning as royals and making the move, Meghan and Harry famously went on to allege mistreatment of the Suits actress, 44, by members of the royal household.

Harry laid bare some of the details in his 2023 bombshell memoir, Spare, and the duo also took part in several shocking TV interviews and a Netflix documentary, where they recalled instances of alleged bullying.

But, in the past few months, it seems more and more likely that Harry could be about to rebuild his relationship with his family.
Back in May, he told the BBC that he didn’t want to fight with them anymore and would 'love reconciliation' despite there being 'so many disagreements' over the years.

He admitted to the outlet: "There's no point continuing to fight any more, life is precious. I don’t know how much longer my father has. You know, he won’t speak to me because of this security stuff. But it would be nice to - it would be nice to reconcile."
And now, a source has claimed to The Mirror that Harry and his father are set 'to reunite' in a few weeks time - the first time in 20 months - when the Duke returns to the UK for the WellChild Awards.
The charity event is taking place on the third anniversary of Queen Elizabeth II's death on 8 September.
According to the outlet, the two family members have not seen each other since January last year, but now a US source has claimed there is 'determination on both sides to make this happen'.

The source reportedly said: "Nobody is pretending the wider family issues have been resolved, but this is about beginning with Charles and Harry.

"For the first time in a long time, there’s a genuine sense that reconciliation is within reach. Prince Harry’s team and the Palace have opened a line of communication, and there is every hope that father and son will see one another when the Duke returns to London in September."
However, the source also alleged that such a meeting wouldn't take place between Harry and his brother, Prince William.

The publication reports that the source said: "As for Harry and William, though, any chance of reconciliation between them has been rejected out of hand."
Harry is a long-standing patron of the WellChild children's charity and has attended the awards 14 times before.
According to Sky News, the royal is set to present an award to an 'inspirational child' aged between four and six, make a speech, and meet with seriously ill children and their families.
