If a new proposed law becomes reality, Prince Harry could face losing his title.
The fresh legislation comes amid the ongoing scandal surrounding Andrew Mountbatten Windsor and his ties to convicted paedophile Jeffrey Epstein.
For those who need a reminder, King Charles III stripped the former Duke of York of all his royal titles and honours last week, with Buckingham Palace issuing a blunt statement on the matter.
Before this, it was announced last month that Andrew would voluntarily stop using his Duke of York title to avoid distraction from the work of the Royal Family, however it's important to note that an Act of Parliament would be required to formally remove the dukedom - and this is exactly what one MP is requesting.

York Central MP Rachael Maskell has proposed legislation which would grant the King the power to remove titles.
As per The Independent, if this new law comes into fruition, it would give the reigning monarch the power to remove titles on their own initiative, following a recommendation of a joint committee of Parliament, or at the request of the person who holds the title.

Speaking of the bill, Maskell said: "It is time for Parliament to act so that it can, or the monarch can, remove titles.

"The Duke of York title may no longer be being used by its holder, but it has not been removed. My short Bill, The Removal of Titles Bill, will fix this; I hope it can now be supported by Parliament."
And royal sources have allegedly told Page Six that they 'would not be surprised' if Harry eventually also lost his title.
The source reportedly claimed: "If they pass these bills, I would not be surprised if Harry is the next one to go. I would not be surprised if William does that … he’s not a vindictive person, but he feels very let down and it’s always much more difficult when you are let down by somebody close to you."
As we know, Harry has had a strained relationship with the royals, including his brother Prince William, for quite some time now.

The Duke of Sussex moved to the States with wife Meghan Markle in 2020, where they are raising their two children, Prince Archie, six, and Princess Lilibet, four.
In his bombshell memoir Spare, Harry even referred to his older sibling as his 'beloved brother and arch-nemesis,' and according to reports, the last time the two spoke was at the late Queen Elizabeth II's funeral back in September 2022.

However, things could be going in an upward direction as Harry reunited with his dad for the first time in 19 months in September, as he met him for afternoon tea at Clarence House.

The chat lasted 54 minutes, with Harry arriving in a black Range Rover at 5.20pm and leaving at 6.14pm.
It marked the first time the father and son had seen each other since February 2024, when he travelled to the UK to see the King after his cancer diagnosis.
And it seems that the chat went well, as Harry was asked how his father was by a reporter shortly after arriving at the Invictus reception. He seemed to be in good spirits as he replied: “Yes he’s great, thank you.”
Tyla has contacted Buckingham Palace and a rep for Prince Harry for comment.
