Meghan Markle sparks conspiracy theory with unusual Prince Harry photo but fans find ‘proof’ to defend her

The Duke of Sussex celebrated his 41st birthday on Monday (15 September)

The Meghan Markle conspiracists are at it again - and this time, they've come up with a new theory about her latest birthday snap of husband Prince Harry.

Yesterday, on Monday 15 September, the Duke of Sussex celebrated his 41st birthday, and his wife Meghan made sure to commemorate the special day with an Instagram post.

The Duchess of Sussex playfully wrote: "Oh hi, Birthday Boy," alongside a fire emoji and a snap of Harry, taken a whole decade ago.

In the picture, a younger Harry was visiting Goodwood Aerodrome for the 75th Anniversary of the Battle of Britain, which at the time included a historic aircraft flypast.

The snap showed the prince with a full head of red hair, as he donned a green army jumpsuit which bares the name 'Harry Wales', his father King Charles III' former surname.

So, what issue exactly have people found with Meghan's birthday tribute?

Well, some theorists are convinced that the picture is actually AI-generated. Yes, really.

Social media users have cited reasons including Harry having 'too much hair' and insisting that he's 'never looked like that'.

Users across Reddit and Twitter wrote: "Fake AI" and "Meg has started using AI?"

While a third penned: "Ummm did she really post that?" and a fourth added: "Looks a tad tweaked."

"Never in his entire life has he ever had that much hair," someone else defiantly wrote.

While other royal family fans chimed in with "That's definitely AI as he looks too old" and "I've never seen this pic before... but idk why it looks AI to me. Was this a recent pic?"

"I don’t remember him ever looking like that!," someone else agreed.

However, fans of Meghan and Harry have been quick to rush to their defence and rightly point out that the photo is in fact real, with one user even linking back to the original snap.

Another social media user came up with the theory that the picture in question could be framed in the Sussex household, and Meghan took a picture of that, hence why it looks like it's 'at an off angle'.

They wrote: "You can tell this picture is in a frame around the house and she took a picture of it. Because of that, the angles are a bit off but the picture is real."

While someone else linked the OG pic and wrote: "Meghan’s is on the left, the Getty’s original is on the right."

And another fan simply argued: "How is it weird? Is she just not allowed to post him when he was younger because he is bald now? Maybe she likes him in uniform."

"My guess is it’s just a picture she took of a glossy print bc of the light reflection on the left. Feel like her holding the photo or camera at an off angle would explain the uncanny valley," added someone else.

While someone else added of the theories: "This entire thread is absolutely unhinged. And not in a good way."
