Prince Harry was gifted jaw-dropping gift from beyond the grave which he definitely won’t get again this year

Prince Harry received an incredible gift last year to celebrate his milestone birthday

Last year was a birthday to remember for Prince Harry - after all, you only turn 40 once.

And to celebrate the milestone birthday, he received an incredible gift from beyond the grave. It was all part of an agreement that had been set up decades before, and needless to say, on his 41st birthday today (September 15), Harry will be receiving nothing quite like this ever again.

The Queen Mother, who is the Duke of Sussex's great-great-grandmother, passed away back in 2002 at the impressive age of 101, and she put many measures in place that controlled what happened to the fortune she had amassed over her life, which, at the time, was said to be around £70 million.

Many of us get a box of chocolates or a fiver from our grandparents if we're lucky, but Prince Harry got far more than that.

It was reported that upon turning 40, he was granted a huge chunk of inheritance from the Queen Mother.

Reports claimed that Harry received an astonishing £7 million from his trust fund set up by his late grandmother. It is said that he received much more than his older brother, Prince William, because he would not become sovereign.

The assumption is that William will earn a substantial amount of money when he becomes king, as he stands to inherit the Duchy of Cornwall, which comes with a multi-million-pound fortune, according to Hello! Magazine.

The trust fund had reportedly been set up for her grandchildren to ensure that they received the first chunk of inheritance when they turn 21, which was £6 million, with the second amount, amounting to £8 million, to mark their milestone 40th birthday.

In 2021, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle claimed they only accepted media deals for financial reasons after they moved from the UK to the US following their departure as working royals.

Harry told Oprah Winfrey: "My family literally cut me off financially, and I had to afford security for us, I've got what my mum left me, and without that, we would not have been able to do this."

Princess Diana reportedly left William and Harry most of her £13 million fortune, with Harry receiving his share when he turned 25.

The Princess of Wales also set up a discretionary fund of £100,000, with the interest from this going to her sons and their future families.

Additionally, Diana also gave her personal items to her sons, including her wardrobe, which contained her wedding dress, and her jewellery.
