Meghan Markle's Mother's Day post has one hidden detail that fans almost missed, after comparing the picture to others on her account.

It seems the Duchess of Sussex can't do a whole lot without people asking questions and drawing their own conclusions.

The 43-year-old mum-of-two shared a heartwarming post for the US Mother's Day on Sunday (11 May), but people couldn't help but pick her snap apart.

The heartfelt picture showed her two little ones climbing up her body, which she described as 'mama mountain.'

In her sweet caption, she wrote: "Happy Mother’s Day! Cheers to juggling it all with joy!"

Meghan added: "And to these two gems - who still attempt to climb 'mama mountain', smother me with kisses, and make every day the most memorable adventure…being your mom is the greatest privilege of my life."

The duchess rounded off the caption: "I, too, 'love you more than all the stars in all the sky, all the raindrops, and all the salt on all the french fries in all the world.'"

What fans didn't realise was that there was actually a hidden detail in the picture that means a lot to the royal couple.

In a 2022 interview with The Cut, Meghan revealed that the two palm trees that could be seen in the snap were a huge selling point for Prince Harry.

The duchess said: "One of the first things my husband saw when we walked around the house was those two palm trees. See how they’re connected at the bottom? He goes, 'My love, it’s us.'"

She added: "And now, every day when Archie goes by us, he says, ‘Hi, Momma. Hi, Papa.'"

But people couldn't help but ruin the wholesome moment, as they picked out one small detail about Prince Archie, six, and Princess Lilibet, three.

"Where is Archie’s and Lili’s red hair this week Meghan Markle?" hit out one internet troll.

Fans had noticed how red the children's hair was in previous posts, but couldn't comprehend how the lighting of a different picture may change that feature.

Another said: "Everybody was talking last week about their red hair whilst picking roses and today’s Mother’s Day photo, neither do."

"Her hair changed colour," a third ridiculously pointed out.

One bizarre conspiracy theory suggests that the Sussex's hire different children to pose with for their Instagram pictures, which might be one of the sillier things social media has ever come up with.

"Their hair is dark now too," another pointed out.

"One of those was taken a long time ago, tell by the seasons, she has a stock of photos she likes to confuse people with," another strangely insisted.

Of course the obvious conclusion is that the children were just slightly more in the shade, or the snap was taken in slightly different lighting.

As opposed to other pictures where the children's hair is very much the same as their fathers.
