The Princess of Wales gave a heartbreaking admission when she was asked about Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's daughter, Princess Lilibet.
Lilibet was born on 4 June 2021 in Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital, California.
Named Lilibet Diana Mountbatten-Windsor, the little one's arrival came just a year after Harry and Meghan stepped down as senior royals, and moved to California.
Not long after their move, Harry and Meghan sat down with Oprah Winfrey where they spoke about the alleged maltreatment that the couple - specifically Meghan - had been subjected to at the hands of both the British royal family, and by the tabloid press.

Several allegations surfaced, including that Kate had reduced Meghan to tears in a fallout over bridesmaids dresses.
"A few days before the wedding [Kate] was upset about the flower girl dresses and it made me cry," Meghan said, adding that Kate had later apologised.
Meghan also spoke about her mental health at that time, explaining: "When I joined that family, that was the last time until we came here that I saw my passport, my driver's licence, my keys, all that gets turned over."

She said her mental health was so severe she 'didn't want to be alive any more'.
"I went to the institution and I said that I needed to go somewhere to get help, said I had never felt that way before and need to go somewhere, and I was told that I couldn't, that it wouldn't be good for the institution," she added.
The tensions within the royal family continued, and shortly after Lilibet's birth, Kate was asked if she had any wishes for her new niece.

A reporter said: "Do you have any wishes for your new niece Lilibet?"
The Princess of Wales replied: “Oh, I wish her all the very best."
She added: "I can't wait to meet her because we haven't yet — met her yet.
"So, hopefully, that'll be soon.”

When asked further: “Have you FaceTimed with her?” she replied: “No, I haven't. No.”
Kate was praised at the time, for responding to a question that she 'wasn't ready for'.
One person wrote online: “She wasn't ready to answer that question but she handled perfectly.”

While another said: "I felt sorry for Catherine that they even asked her that. Perfectly handled by Catherine though."
It's not currently clear if Kate and William have ever met Lilibet, but it is believed that King Charles met his granddaughter at the late Queen Elizabeth II's Platinum Jubilee in June 2022.
