Donald and Melania Trump have landed in the UK for an unprecedented second state visit, and many people have already spotted something unusual with the First Lady.

The US President and First Lady arrived at Stansted Airport in the UK on Tuesday evening (16 September), being met by UK Foreign Secretary Yvette Cooper as they stepped off Air Force One.

Much of the visit has been scheduled to happen away from public view, as several protests have been planned.

Police have arrested four people after an image of Trump with the late convicted paedophile, Jeffrey Epstein, was projected onto the walls of Windsor Castle.

Protestors have also gathered outside Windsor to make their disapproval of the second state visit clear.

Meanwhile, an image posted to Melania Trump's official social media page has many people asking the same question.

The X account for Office of the First Lady posted a short clip showing Melania walking dramatically along the tarmac at an airport, along with emojis of the US and UK flags.

This clip was then shared by another account called @TrumpDailyPosts, which follows the US President's activity on his social media platform, Truth Social.

In the post with the same video, the account said: "First Lady Melania Trump arriving in the UK."

But many people were quick to point out a problem in the post - the Trumps arrived at around 9pm after it got dark, and the clip clearly shows it's daytime.

One wrote: "Hmmmm. Melania arrived very late at night in the UK. I believe this image of her was taken as she left the USA," while another replied: "Err… they landed at 9pm at night… it would have been dark."

A third appeared to address the First Lady directly. They said: "It was dark when you landed in UK ?"

Finally, one highlighted that the nights are now drawing in, posting: "Yep .. it was dark from around 8pm here."

Trump previously visited the UK during his first term in office back in 2019, and it is unusual for a US president to make two official state visits to the UK.

The visit will see the US delegation spending two days in the UK, including meeting King Charles and potentially seeing a fly-past of the Red Arrows and US F-35 jets.

London Mayor Sadiq Khan has been among those to have publicly criticised Trump recently.

Khan called the president's decision to deploy the US military in US cities 'straight out of the autocrat’s playbook,' and said that the UK should not be afraid of ‘being critical’.
