United States President Donald Trump has shared yet another bizarre AI image to social media.

The 79-year-old Republican, who is set to turn 80 next month (14 June), shared several AI-generated posts on his Truth Social account over the weekend.

Such posts included Trump sitting in a Space Force command centre in space as satellites, asteroids, and bombs exploded in the background.

Another showed California Governor, Gavin Newsom, wearing a straitjacket in a padded cell room with the word 'Trump' rewritten on the walls.

He also posted several AI-generated images criticising Illinois Gov. JB Pritzker, Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson and House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries.

But amidst the slew of AI images was one which depicted Trump and the Secret Service escorting a silver alien across a military base, and critics have been quick to pick up on one specific detail.

Namely, that the extremely buff extra-terrestrial was donning a pair of handcuffs.

It's important to note, however, that the alien's left handcuff is attached to his right thigh, while his right handcuff doesn't appear to actually be connected to anything.

The alien's foot shackles do seem to be connected.

The AI photo was generated in a way to look like someone had taken the photo secretly, with fingers partially covering the frame.

Reacting to the social media post, one X user asked: "Are those handcuffs to restrict the alien or what? Lmao."

"The alien is in f*cking shackles. I can’t do this anymore," lamented a second.

A third chimed in: "If that thing is advanced enough to visit us, those handcuffs are pointless."

"My guess is the handcuffs would be to present the illusion of control in order to keep the public more calm," theorised a fourth.

Another quipped: "Lmfao, at the idea of handcuffing an alien! Yeah, 'Welcome To America'."

And a final X user questioned: "What is actually going on in the USA if the president is posting pictures like this?"

Trump shared the meme without any comment or caption explaining it, only adding to the speculation online.

His post comes just a matter of weeks after the Pentagon declassified and made public what was previously top-secret material on supposed UFOs collected by the US government.

The 'never-before-seen' files were analysed by experts who later confirmed that the release didn't actually contain any 'smoking gun' that showed clear evidence of extraterrestrial visits to our planet, USA Today reports.
