It's been well over a year since Kamala Harris' campaign account has posted anything - but that's just changed.
Just yesterday (4 February), Harris' @KamalaHQ X account, which was used frequently during her 2024 presidential campaign against Donald Trump, broke its 15-month silence and posted a 15-second clip.
The clip in question, which teases that some kind of announcement was set to come the following day (5 February), shows a login page with the account name reading @KamalaHQ as a series of passwords are typed into the box below.
Some 'incorrect' passwords include 'waytooonline', 'thebabysitterisweird', 'project2025wasreal', before the 'correct' password, 'headquarters', is finally typed in and accepted.
Just before being taken to the next page upon completion of a successful log-in, the video cuts to an all-black screen with white caps-lock lettering reading: "TOMORROW."

At the time of writing, the X post has over 7.3 million views with thousands of comments from people speculating what the video means.
"She is running again, isn’t she?" wondered one X user, while a second theorised: "Oh, I get it. The failed login attempts are symbolic of another failed presidential campaign! Brilliant."
Another asked: "What did she mean by this?"
And a final X user echoed: "What is this?"
Harris was the US Vice President under Democrat Joe Biden from 2021 to 2025.
In 2024, she and Biden ran for reelection, and after Biden withdrew from the race, Harris became the Democratic Party's presidential nominee, running in the 2024 election alongside her Vice Presidential nominee, Minnesota Governor Tim Walz.
The pair, however, lost the general election to Trump and Ohio Senator JD Vance.
People are speculating over what the announcement may be (Genaro Molina / Contributor / Getty Images) Last June, Harris said she wouldn't run for California governor next year, seemingly leaving open the possibility of a third White House run in 2028.
"Over the past six months, I have spent time reflecting on this moment in our nation’s history and the best way for me to continue fighting for the American people and advancing the values and ideals I hold dear," she said in a statement released by her office at the time.
"I have given serious thought to asking the people of California for the privilege to serve as their governor. I love this state, its people and its promise. It is my home.
"But after deep reflection, I’ve decided that I will not run for Governor in this election."
