In the minutes after Israel accused Iran of breaking their recently agreed ceasefire - a proposal initially made by US President Donald Trump - the Kremlin in Russia has vowed to 'develop relations with Iran'.
The news comes a day after President Vladimir Putin promised his allegiance to Iran over Israel, and condemned Trump for his 'groundless' bombing of three Iranian nuclear bases over the weekend.
Continuing to slam the Republican's 'total obliteration' of sites in Fordow, Natanz and Isfahan, the Russian leader went on to describe them as 'unjustified', adding that his country would 'make efforts to provide assistance to the Iranian people'.

Trump had initially set a two-week window to decide whether militant intervention between the two countries was necessary.
It emerged yesterday, however, that the 79-year-old had acted prematurely after Iran made a sleeper-cell terror threat to American citizens.
Despite Trump's move, the American last night announced a ceasefire between Iran and Israel, writing on Truth Social this morning that peace between the pair is 'now in effect'.

The announcement was made hours after Iran launched an attack on a US base in Qatar. The same evening, both Iran and Israel sustained loss of life during the deadliest evening of the strikes so far, with the former seeing nine people killed, 33 injured and four homes destroyed.
The Israeli government later confirmed the deaths of at least four individuals in the south, meanwhile.
Taking to his personal social media site to announce peace between the pair last night, however, he also issued both countries with a stern five-word statement, asking them: "Please do not violate it!"
And whilst it was eventually confirmed that both countries had agreed - despite Iran previously claiming that the proposal had been 'imposed' onto Israel - earlier today, Iran was accused by Israel of having launched a further batch of missiles.

As we say, after Iran denied said allegation, however, as per a new update provided by the Kremlin (quoted by Sky News), Russia has since emphasised their support of Iran once again, with a 'clear position'.
In a statement released by Iran's Supreme National Security Council the importance of 'imposing the halt of the war' on Israel and its 'terrorist supporters' has been emphasised.
A spokesperson for the Council added that 'any further aggression will be met with a decisive, firm, and timely response by Iran'.

In response to the latest missile, however, Israel's air defence systems are said to be 'operating to intercept the threat', with the country's government officials also informing its citizens to find shelter until further notice.
The Israeli Defence Minister also issued a statement promising his forces would 'respond forcefully to Iran's violation of the ceasefire with intense strikes against regime targets in the heart of Tehran'.
The country's finance minister Bezalel Smotrich, also issued an eerie threat on X (formerly Twitter), promising: "Tehran will shake."
