After a bitter feud between Elon Musk and Donald Trump arose online, many have been left wondering what's going to happen with the president's newly purchased Tesla?
If you’ve been living under a rock for the past two days, shots between the pair were initially fired by Musk just before he left his Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) co-lead role last month.
It all began when the Tesla CEO said his resignation from the Trump administration was due to his role reaching its end.

"As my scheduled time as a Special Government Employee comes to an end, I would like to thank President @realDonaldTrump for the opportunity to reduce wasteful spending," he wrote on X on 21 May.
"The @DOGE mission will only strengthen over time as it becomes a way of life throughout the government."

Days later, he started hitting out at Trump over his ‘big beautiful bill' that would increase the deficit by nearly $3 trillion by 2034.

"I was disappointed to see the massive spending bill, frankly, which increases the budget deficit, not just decreases it, and undermines the work that the DOGE team is doing," Musk told CBS.
And on 5 June, the billionaire wrote on X: "Time to drop the really big bomb: @realDonaldTrump is in the Epstein files.
"That is the real reason they have not been made public. Have a nice day, DJT!"
While Trump didn't address the accusation, he wrote on Truth Social about the 'truth' of Musk’s departure: "Elon was 'wearing thin', I asked him to leave, I took away his EV Mandate that forced everyone to buy Electric Cars that nobody else wanted (that he knew for months I was going to do!), and he just went CRAZY!"

Sharing the post on X, Musk replied: "Such an obvious lie. So sad."
However, ABC News reports that after a phone call with the president today (6 June), he was 'remarkably unconcerned' about his argument with Musk.
Trump apparently isn’t open to a peace talk, either.

"You mean the man who has lost his mind?" the outlet shared that Trump allegedly responded, adding that he’s 'not particularly' interested in hashing things out.
Even though he doesn’t want to speak to his former consultant, what of the Tesla he bought from him mere weeks ago?
Apparently, he’s planning on selling or giving away the car, a White House official confirmed to The New York Post.
Trump bought the red Tesla Model S on 11 March and it was only purchased for staff use, as the POTUS cannot drive thanks to security rules.

He originally bought the vehicle and attempted to clear things up where vandals were concerned regarding the electric vehicle brand.
"We’re going to catch them, they’re bad guys," Trump said at the time.
"We’re going to catch you, and you’re going to go through hell."
But now that the tide has changed on their companionship, it seems he’ll be looking to get rid of the expensive car.
Tyla has contacted the White House press office for further comment.
